- The DOREBRO sports program to get their motors running with athletic activities and active games;
- “DOREMI Chef by Carlo Cracco” – A cooking class to light up the taste buds and to delight children with the discovery of cooking, and
- Wide range of on-board children’s entertainment designed by the Lego Group, including the option to purchase the LEGO® MSC Cruises toy of MSC Meraviglia, the new cutting-edge design ship of the MSC fleet.
For kids and families who like to stay active with athletics, the DOREBRO program is perfect! Designed in collaboration with King’s Active, a UK-based company with expertise in youth sports activities, DOREBRO features football, basketball, baseball, handball and dodge ball in a morning and afternoon session. During the 45-minute sessions, children ages 3-17 can participate in these sports, along with other active games and activities. Sports coaches are on-board to work with children on fun, age-and skill-appropriate activities as well. Introductory activities, sports tournaments and teen social games have also been added. Parents can join in family activities, exhilarating competitions and prizes also. DOREBRO merchandise, including t-shirts and athletic bags are available to commemorate the fun and excitement.
If your child has expressed an interest in cooking or you’d just like to introduce the concept, there’s no better way to do it than on vacation with true culinary experts to oversee the process…and any cooking messes. For ages 3-11, MSC Cruises world-renowned chefs and the MSC Cruises mascot, DOREMI, will lead children through recipes and cooking tips. Designed in collaboration with two-starred Michelin chef Carlo Cracco, children will make homemade pasta from scratch. To complete the experience, children will receive an official mini-chef certificate signed by the famous Carlo Cracco himself.
To round out the new kid entertainment programs, MSC Cruises will offer benefits made available through the LEGO Group, the world’s leading toy producer. For kids and for the kids at heart, guests can purchase the LEGO® MSC Cruises toy MSC Meraviglia ship, MSC’s brand new next-generation smart cruise ship that will launch in June 2017. This 180-brick keepsake is designed for ages 7 and older, and is available fleet wide at the MSC Cruises Logo shops.
In addition to the toy model, MSC Cruises guests can plan to participate in The LEGO Experience. This all-day program is dedicated to LEGO® activities and is available on MSC’s newly enlarged and enhanced cruise ships: the Armonia, Sinfonia, Opera and Lirica and on MSC’s brand new ships: the Meraviglia and the Seaside, which debuts in Miami, 2017. Children of all ages can participate in the LEGO Experience Day with dedicated activities to engage various age groups, including *a construction challenge for children ages three and under in the DUPLO® Play Pen; *“Building Happening,” ages six to 11 compete to build the most elaborate construction in two challenges; *Vertical challenges between two teams on the LEGO® Vertical Play Wall; and the *LEGO® Tech Challenge where all the latest game consoles are made available to play the hottest LEGO video games. The LEGO Experience is completed with a LEGO diploma presented by the LEGO Sailor mascot, earning participants Junior Master Builder status.
